China Nonferrous Mining (HKG:1258) expects to book $634 million in attributable profit for the nine months ended Sept. 30, up 78% year-on-year, according to a Thursday bourse filing.
The miner cited higher global copper prices and an increase in the selling price of sulfuric acid as reasons for the upbeat forecast.
For January to September, the company said its copper cathode production fell 3% to 104,961 tonnes, while blister copper and copper anode output declined 9% to 280,636 tonnes.
Sulfuric acid production dropped 8% to 727,297 tonnes, while cobalt output fell 71% to 199 tonnes.
