KYIV, Ukraine -- New speed limits on Starlink terminals disrupted drone attacks over Russian-occupied Ukraine on Wednesday, Ukrainian officials and military units said.
The disruptions to Starlink, which is operated by Elon Musk's SpaceX, and used by the Ukrainian military for its drone crews and battlefield logistics, come after President Trump called for an immediate energy ceasefire in the conflict.
"I confirm that SpaceX implemented a speed limit for Starlink terminals operating in motion last night," said Serhii Beskrestnov, an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. "Our defense forces received no warning about this restriction, and it has led to the disruption of a number of missions."
SpaceX, the company founded by Elon Musk that produces Starlink, didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
