Energy Fuels fell Wednesday morning after the uranium producer disclosed plans for a new $500 million equity offering and amended terms for a key acquisition.
Shares trading in Toronto fell 8.9% to 12.03 Canadian dollars ($8.46).
The company on Wednesday said it filed a prospectus supplement allowing it to sell up to an additional $500 million in common shares under an at-the-market equity program.
Energy Fuels also said late Tuesday that it has amended its acquisition terms for German-based Vacuumschmelze, a manufacturers of advanced magnetic materials and permanent magnets, also known as VAC.
The amendment establishes protocols to handle an ongoing dispute with a commercial customer under a supply agreement, including potential settlement terms and purchase price adjustments to reflect any loss in asset value.
