Lowe's (LOW) said Thursday it is launching same-day delivery of home improvement products using drones, with the pilot program now active in Matthews, North Carolina.
The pilot drone delivery program includes hand tools, paint products, and everyday household items like soap, tape, and batteries, the company said.
Lowe's said users ordering through the DoorDash (DASH) app will be able to select drone delivery as an option. Products will be delivered using Wing drones, which can transport items weighing about 2.5 pounds per flight, the company said.
