Amazon.com reported Amazon Web Services revenue above analyst expectations while lifting its capital expenditures forecast by $20 billion to $220 billion. CEO Andy Jassy said the company sees a path to $1 trillion in annual revenue for AWS on an analyst call. Shares jumped 8.9% to $256.55 in after-hours trading on Thursday.
Apple reported record third-quarter sales, but issued a fourth-quarter revenue forecast below Wall Street's expectations. The stock fell 5.9% to $313.84 after Thursday's bell.
Roblox said it expects revenue growth will slow and bookings will decline in the third quarter. The stock slid 14% to $41.95.
Coinbase Global swung to a loss in its second quarter, citing a soft cryptocurrency market. Shares were down 5.2% at $155.08.
