BAIC Motor (HKG:1958) expects to post an attributable net loss of 1.55 billion yuan to 1.65 billion yuan for the first half, compared with a profit in the year-ago period.
The company attributed the downbeat forecast to weaker-than-expected sales amid intense competition in China's auto market, as well as higher raw material costs and increased market investment, according to a Tuesday Hong Kong bourse filing.
