Honeywell Aerospace (HONA) will explore integrating its mission systems onto Enigma Aerospace's Phoenix unmanned aircraft system under a new memorandum of understanding, the companies said Wednesday.
Under the MoU, the parties will explore integrating Honeywell Aerospace's navigation, mission systems, and electronic warfare capabilities onto the Phoenix platform, they said.
Areas of focus under the MoU will include resilient positioning, navigation, timing and alternative navigation systems, and defensive electronic warfare, among others, the parties said.
To start with, the companies plan to evaluate Honeywell Aerospace's VersaWave SATCOM unit, Ground Control Station, and ONEBOX flight controller on Enigma's Phoenix aircraft, they added.
