Botanix Says European Patent Office Issues Intention to Grant Patent Covering Proprietary Applicator Technology, Shares Soar 18%

Botanix Pharmaceuticals (ASX:BOT) said the European Patent Office issued an Intention to Grant a patent covering proprietary applicator technology used with its sofpironium topical gel product, which is known as Sofdra in the US, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

The patent covers relevant aspects of the applicator device utilized with the topical gel product, including features designed to support controlled topical administration and patient use.

The patent is expected to provide intellectual property protection until May 2039 after the formal grant process is completed.

Its shares soared 18% in recent trading on Tuesday.
