Amtech Systems Shares Jump After AI Equipment Demand Boosts Revenue

Shares of Amtech Systems rose after the company reported higher fiscal second-quarter revenue boosted by AI-related equipment demand.

The stock gained 13% to $20.55 in off-hours trading. Through Thursday's close, it was up 45% this year.

Net revenue rose 31% year-over-year to $20.5 million, driven by strong demand for reflow equipment used in AI applications.

The company also swung to a profit of $1.2 million, or 8 cents a share, compared with a loss of $31.8 million, or $2.23 a share, the year prior.

Adjusted earnings were 10 cents a share.

The company guided for fiscal third-quarter revenue of $20.5 million to $22.5 million.
