Volaris Reports Higher April Passenger Demand

Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion (VLRS), or Volaris, said late Wednesday that its passenger demand, measured as revenue passenger miles, increased 1.6% from last year to 2.57 billion in April.

Capacity for the month, measured as available seat miles, grew 1.9% from a year earlier to 3.04 billion, Volaris said.

Consolidated load factor improved by 2.9 percentage point year-over-year to 84.6% in April, Volaris said, adding that it transported 2.7 million passengers in the month, versus 2.6 million for the same period last year.
