eBay $(EBAY)$: Shares surged premarket after GameStop CEO Ryan Cohen made an unsolicited offer to buy the e-commerce company for about $56 billion. Shares of GameStop $(GME)$ slipped.
Norwegian Cruise Line $(NCLH)$: Shares slid premarket after the operator cut its outlook and said consumers are rethinking travel plans.
Coinbase Global (COIN), Robinhood Markets (HOOD): Shares of both platforms, which offer cryptocurrency trading, advanced premarket after bitcoin briefly climbed above $80,000 for the first time since January. Also boosting sentiment: A compromise reached in Washington on stablecoin yield rules.
Tyson Foods $(TSN)$: The meatpacker reported higher profit but said soaring cattle prices weighed on its results. Shares rose premarket.
Mercedes-Benz (XE:MBG), BMW (XE:BMW), Porsche (XE:P911): Shares in the European automakers slid after President Trump said the U.S. will raise tariffs on automobiles from the European Union to 25% from 15%.
Paramount Skydance $(PSKY)$ and Palantir Technologies (PLTR) are due to post results after the close.
