Uzma (KLSE:UZMA) signed a memorandum of understanding with state-owned Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) to explore cooperation in renewable energy, aerospace and defense maintenance services, and talent development.

Under the three-year arrangement, the partners will look into joint projects in renewable energy and energy efficiency, as well as marine engineering solutions for oil and gas and maintenance, repair and overhaul services for the aerospace and defence sectors.

It also covers training programs in AI, IoT, engineering, and leadership, according to a Monday Malaysian bourse filing.

Both sides will also explore investment opportunities tied to energy transition and ESG-linked initiatives, as well as expanding Bumiputera vendor participation in Uzma's value chain.

The agreement is non-binding and not expected to have an immediate financial impact, it said.
