Australian Consumer Inflation Expectations Rise in April

Australia's consumer inflation expectations rose by 0.7 percentage points in April to 5.9%, driven largely by a recent spike in oil prices, according to the Melbourne Institute Survey of Consumer Inflationary Expectations on Thursday.
Trimmed mean measure in April has reached its highest level since November 2022, while trimmed mean wage expectations have remained unchanged over the past five months, the survey added.
