Nvidia's (NVDA) share of the Chinese artificial intelligence accelerator server market shrank in 2026 as local chipmakers increase their market share to about 41%, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing data from IDC.
According to Reuters, IDC data showed that Nvidia, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), and Chinese chipmakers shipped about 4 million units of AI accelerator card to China in 2025. Nvidia remained the top seller with a 55% share, while AMD had a 4% market share, the data showed.
Chinese vendors, including firms under Alibaba (BABA), Baidu (BIDU), and Huawei, shipped a total of 1.65 million cards, equivalent to 41% of the market, the report added.
Nvidia, AMD, Alibaba, and Baidu did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comments.
