Sector Update: Energy Stocks Rise Pre-Bell Monday

Energy stocks were rising pre-bell Monday, with the State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE) up 1.1%.

The United States Oil Fund (USO) was 1.8% higher and The United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was down 4.6%.

Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 1.6% at $101.23 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil rose by 2.2% to $115.07 per barrel, and natural gas futures were 4.2% lower at $2.90 per 1 million British Thermal Units.

TotalEnergies (TTE) shares were up more than 2% after the company said it has completed the merger of NEO NEXT with its UK upstream oil and gas business.

Sable Offshore (SOC) stock was up more than 1% after the company said it began oil sales on March 29 through the Santa Ynez Pipeline System, which was filled from Las Flores Canyon to Pentland Station at rates exceeding 50,000 barrels per day.

Chevron (CVX) said its Wheatstone liquefied natural gas production facility in Western Australia is not likely to return to its full capacity for several weeks following damage caused by a recent cyclone. Chevron shares were 0.9% higher premarket.
