Forrestania Resources (ASX:FRS) said Newcam Minerals provided the mining firm with an updated indicated and inferred mineral resource estimate for the Johnson Range project in Western Australia of 1.43 million tonnes at 2.26 grams per tonne grade of gold for 103,500 ounces at a 0.5 g/t cut-off grade, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The mineral resource estimate satisfied a condition precedent to the Aurumin Johnson Range and Aurumin Mt Dimer share acquisition agreement, wherein Newcam provides Forrestania with a mineral resource estimate of not less than 88,000 ounces of gold using a cutoff grade of 0.5 g/t.
The estimate was independently created and verified by consultants at Widenbar and Associates.
