About 20 people were injured in the southern Israeli city of Dimona following rocket fire, according to the emergency service, Magen David Adom.

Some of the injured were hit by shrapnel, while others were wounded as they rushed to shelters or were suffering from acute anxiety. Among the injured is a 10-year-old child.

Israel's military said earlier it identified missiles launched from Iran to Israel, and asked the public to follow life-saving precautions.

Dimona is a city in southern Israel's Negev Desert, known for its proximity to Israel's nuclear research facility.
