Uber (UBER) is expanding its New York city office, which is now the largest after the company's San Francisco headquarters, Bloomberg reported Tuesday.
The move reflects the city's growing importance to Uber's operations since the company's Chief Executive Dara Khosrowshahi moved there in 2024, the report said.
An Uber spokesperson told Bloomberg that to accommodate its local workforce, which has increased to over 2,000 employees from 800 before the pandemic, the company is boosting its footprint in 3 World Trade Center to 11 floors.
The company has also been renting office suites in a co-working space in the same building, the report said.
Uber didn't immediately respond to a request for comment by MT Newswires.
