Xiaomi is scheduled to report its fourth quarter and full year results on Tuesday. Here's what you need to know:
NET PROFIT: Xiaomi's net profit for the fourth quarter is likely to be 6.41 billion yuan, equivalent to $930.8 million, according to a poll of analysts by Visible Alpha, below the 9.00 billion yuan profit posted in the same period a year earlier.
REVENUE: Its revenue likely increased 8.7% to 118.45 billion yuan, according to Visible Alpha.
Xiaomi's Hong Kong-listed stock fell 27% in the three months through December amid concerns over rising memory costs and slowing auto demand in China.
WHAT TO WATCH:
-- EV SALES: The company released the price tag for its new SU7 model last week with a starting price of 219,900 yuan, 4,000 yuan higher than for the first-generation of the SU7. Investors are watching the company's EV sales for the 2025 and fourth quarter for clues about the segment's profitability.
-- SMARTPHONES: China's smartphone industry is facing increased pressure from rising costs of memory chips. Investors will watch for any plan to raise prices of its models or to address those challenges in the earnings call. The company is likely report softer than expected smartphone gross profit margin in 4Q, Daiwa analysts wrote in a recent note.
-- INTERNET OF THINGS: Xiaomi's fourth-quarter IoT revenue may have dropped 30% to 25 billion yuan, as national subsidies are eased and amid likely stronger than expected competition in the market for large home appliances, Daiwa said.
