Hong Kong Investment Corporation-backed tech firm SmartMore applied for a listing in Hong Kong, the South China Morning Post reported Tuesday.
The firm, which specializes in industrial artificial intelligence, is seeking funds to accelerate research and development and drive commercial expansion, the report said.
The company is working with Morgan Stanley, China International Capital Corporation and Deutsche Bank on the potential listing.
The company was last valued at $1.23 billion, the report said.
