The war in Iran will have a limited impact on Cosco Shipping Ports' (HKG:1199) network and overall business volume, the South China Morning Post reported Thursday, citing Chairman Zhu Tao.
The crisis could "have some impact" on the throughput of the company's terminal in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, the report said.
COSCO Shipping Ports will explore other contingency plans, such as using alternative routes in the Gulf of Oman, the report said, citing Zhu.
Shares plunged 10% during morning trading on Thursday.
