Zoomlion (SHE:000157, HKG:1157) has launched phase one of its first European intelligent manufacturing plant in Hungary, Xinhua News reported Thursday.
The $125 million project is expected to create 800 local jobs, with the Hungarian government contributing $20.3 million in support, according to the report. Notably, 70% of the plant's suppliers are Hungarian companies.
Zoomlion Vice President Ren Huili said the facility strengthens the company's European research and development and manufacturing capabilities, Xinhua wrote.
