GuangDong ShaoNeng (SHE:000601) plans to establish a 1 billion yuan wholly-owned subsidiary in Guangdong, China, to develop clean energy projects supporting the Shaoguan Data Center Cluster.
The new entity, Shaoneng Computing and Power Integration Lechang Development, will focus on source-grid-load-storage integration, aiming to supply green power to the regional data hub, according to a Wednesday filing with the Shanghai bourse.
Shares of the power plant operator closed 10% higher Wednesday.
