Iran's foreign minister Abbas Araghchi said Saturday that the U.S. strikes on Iran's Kharg Island were launched from neighboring countries' territories, including the United Arab Emirates.

Araghchi told MS Now in an interview that U.S. forces used truck-based missile launchers known as Himars from the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah and from an area near Dubai. He did not provide evidence of his claims but warned Iran would respond to the attacks and will be careful not to harm populated areas.

Responding to U.S. claims that Iran's new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is wounded and disfigured, the Iranian foreign minister added that he was OK and "is performing his duties."
