Toubani Resources (ASX:TRE) started construction at the Kobada gold project in Mali, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

Initial construction activities are focused on bulk earthworks at the process plant, water dam, tailings storage facility, and accommodation facilities in preparation for the pouring of the first foundations in the June quarter.

The company is targeting first gold production in the September 2027 quarter, the filing said.

Toubani Resources' shares fell past 1% in recent trading on Monday.
