Contel Technology (HKG:1912) said it received a statutory demand from a creditor seeking payment of $7.5 million, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing Friday.
The creditor, identified as Tse Hoi Ching, is seeking repayment within 21 days, failing which it may file a winding-up petition against the company.
Tse is also a creditor of Lam Keung, chairman and controlling shareholder of Contel.
The company said it was reviewing the statutory demand and evaluating whether the notice will have an adverse impact on its operations.
Contel Technology previously said a creditor filed winding up petitions against its subsidiaries Flyring Electronic and IH Technology for allegedly failing to pay amounts owed.
