American Airlines Group (AAL) were down 3.7%, United Airlines down 3.9%, and Delta Airlines (DAL) down 3.6%.
Shares of JetBlue (JBLU) were also down 3.9%, Frontier Airlines (ULCC), down 3.6% and Southwest (LUV) down 2.7%
Over the weekend, Israeli and US forces fuel refineries and energy installations across Iran while Iran hit a refinery in Bahrain and claimed it fired rockets at a refinery off the coast of Haifa in Israel, news reports said.
