BUZZ-Australian copper miners decline as metal loses shine on strong U.S. dollar

** Shares of Australian copper miners fall, adding to the broader benchmark's .AXJO 1.7% loss on the day

** Copper prices fell around 0.5%, weighed down by a strong U.S. dollar as rising oil prices spur hawkish monetary policy stance globally MET/L USD/

** Sandfire Resources SFR.AX falls as much as 2.5% on the day, on track to snap two days of gains

** Canada-based miner Capstone Copper's ASX-listed shares CSC.AX lose as much as 3.6%, on pace to snap two consecutive sessions of gains
