BUZZ-Prudential Financial falls after Japan unit flags improper handling of operational data

** Shares of insurer Prudential Financial PRU.N down 4% to 95.17 after its Japanese subsidiary said that some workers assigned to contracted agencies improperly removed operational information and shared it with other employees

** The co said 11 employees took operational information on 379 occasions at seven agencies and shared it internally

** Last month, Prudential Financial's Japan life unit CEO resigned after revelations of misconduct by about 100 of its employees totaling roughly 3.1 billion yen ($19.60 million), including embezzlement of funds

** Two of 18 analysts rate stock "strong buy", 14 "hold" and 2 "sell"; their median PT is $111 - data compiled by LSEG

** Including session's move, PRU down 15.7% YTD
