Hansen Technologies (ASX:HSN) said Friday it entered a software-as-a-service partnership with Emulate Energy to help utilities turn residential energy devices into tradable flexibility assets within their commercial and trading systems.
The company said in a statement that the partnership will allow utilities to manage behind-the-meter devices in a way that aligns with tariffs and energy market signals while delivering savings for consumers.
Residential energy loads can be optimized through the partnership to reduce imbalance costs, support grid stability, and, where regulation allows, be aggregated for participation in wholesale and ancillary power markets, the company added.
The partnership combines Emulate Energy's home energy management technology with Hansen's customer information and energy data management platforms, the company said.
