Intercontinental Exchange Plans to Introduce 4 Container Freight Futures

Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) said Friday it intends to introduce four container freight futures covering freight shipping routes between the US, Asia, and Europe, starting April 7.

The futures will be indexed to the New York Shipping Exchange's Freight Indices price assessments, the NYSE parent said.

The New York Shipping Exchange container freight contracts will join the company's global oil markets which comprise ICE Low Sulphur Gasoil, according to Intercontinental Exchange.
