Defense Stocks Rise as Middle East Conflict Intensifies Amid US-Israel, Iran War

Shares of defense companies were up in premarket trade Monday as the conflict in the Middle East expanded with Iran and Iran-backed militias attacking Israel and other countries following the US and Israel-led strikes on Iran early Saturday, according to multiple news outlets.
Lockheed Martin (LMT) shares were up 7.7% in premarket trade, Northrop Grumman (NOC) was up 6.2%, General Dynamics (GD) was 4.8% higher, while L3Harris Technologies (LHX) and AeroVironment (AVAV) shares were up 6.5% and 14%, respectively.
Kratos Defense & Security Solutions (KTOS) shares were advancing 14%, while RTX (RTX) was also up 9.1%.
