LONDON, March 2 (Reuters) - Northwest European gasoline refinery profit margins rose by 49 cents to about $8.13 a barrel on Monday as the US-Iran warn raged on, hitting key refining infrastructure in the Middle East.
About 8,000 metric tons of E5 gasoline barges traded in the Argus window, with Exxon Mobil selling to Trafigura and Varo.
A further 3,000 tons of E10 gasoline barges changed hands, as Shell sold to Van Raak and Varo.
State oil giant Saudi Aramco's 2222.SE shut its 550,000 barrels per day (bpd) Ras Tanura refinery as a precautionary measure according to an industry source, after two drones were intercepted at the facility, with debris causing a limited fire.
A market participant said he expected Europe to be able cope with any disruptions from the Middle East as the Atlantic basin was generally well-supplied.
EU-27 and UK gasoline and blending component exports to other regions have averaged 837,000 barrels per day in February, against about 880,000 bpd in January.
