Energy stocks were advancing pre-bell Wednesday, with the State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE) 0.2% higher.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was 0.7% lower and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was up 1.3%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 0.4% at $65.88 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 0.6% to $70.98 per barrel. Natural gas futures were 1.9% higher at $2.884 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Talos Energy (TALO) stock was down more than 12% after the company reported a wider Q4 adjusted net loss per share than analysts' projected and a lower revenue.
Par Pacific (PARR) shares were down more than 11% after the company posted Q4 adjusted earnings per share that missed analysts' expectations, along with a decline in revenue.
BKV (BKV) stock was 0.6% higher after the company reported that it swung to Q4 adjusted earnings as revenue increased during the period.
