- Investor Ed Garden has built a stake in building products supplier Fortune Brands Innovations FBIN.N and seeks to replace its incoming chief executive.

- More than 8,000 flights scheduled for Sunday and Monday had been canceled nationally, mostly on routes into or out of Boston and the New York area due to a winter storm bearing down on the Northeast and mid-Atlantic.

- One of Mexico's most notorious drug lords, Nemesio Oseguera, or "El Mencho," was killed in a military raid on Sunday, leading to airlines such as Air Canada AC.TO and United Airlines UAL.O halting flights to Mexico's Puerto Vallarta.

- Dassault Systemes DAST.PA said that Chief Executive Pascal Daloz would replace co-founder Bernard Charles as executive chairman.
