Netflix Seen as Not Needing Warner Bros. Deal -- Market Talk

Dow Jones

1458 ET - Netflix doesn't need a deal to buy Warner Bros. Discovery, Wedbush analysts write in a note. The company's overall business fundamentals are strong, and its global advertising business is growing, projected to double to at least $3 billion in revenue this year. Expanded partnerships, better targeting, live content, and artificial-intelligence efficiency gains are expected to drive upside for Netflix's ad business, they write. "The primary benefit of an integration with Warner Bros. is the advertising opportunity," the analysts write. "However, Netflix could walk away without injury. Paramount-Skydance may not."
