RingCentral shares surged after the company shared an outlook for this year that was on the high end of analysts' expectations.
The stock gained 36% to $39.93 on Friday, at one point touching a 52-week high of $40.64. Shares are up 39% in the past 12 months.
The AI-driven communications company said it expects revenue to increase 4% to 5% this year, topping the projected 4.5% growth analysts polled by FactSet expect.
For the current quarter, RingCentral expects $640 million to $645 million in revenue, while analysts were expecting $642.2 million. It anticipates adjusted earnings per share of $1.16 to $1.19, while analysts were looking for $1.16.
RingCentral also beat in the fourth quarter. Its revenue was $644.0 million with adjusted earnings of $1.18 a share. Analysts were guiding for $643.6 million in sales and $1.14 a share in adjusted earnings.
