Energy stocks were advancing pre-bell Tuesday, with the State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE) up 0.2%.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was 0.1% lower and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was down 3.6%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was down 0.1% at $62.81 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil lost 1.5% to $67.64 per barrel, and natural gas futures were 5.2% lower at $3.08 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Sunoco (SUN) stock was down more than 3% after the company reported a decline in Q4 net income.
