U.S. Natural Gas Futures Edge Up in Rangebound Trade -- Market Talk
Dow Jones
Feb 11
0958 ET - U.S. natural gas futures are slightly higher with the market weighing a milder weather outlook for the tail end of winter. "Natural gas continues to trade in a tight band as we await either a dramatic shift in weather outlooks for the remainder of the month, or a storage report that significantly varies from around the 250 Bcf withdrawal expected," Gary Cunningham of Traditional Energy says in a note. A likely range for the March contract is $3.05 to $3.20/mmBtu "with some upside potential should we see a more firm view on LNG exports that put us back over 20 Bcf/d of gas consumption." Nymex gas is up 0.6% at $3.133/mmBtu.(anthony.harrup@wsj.com)
