NatWest Nears Takeover Deal for Evelyn Partners, Sky News Says, Citing Sources

-- NatWest is set to agree to buy wealth manager Evelyn Partners for between 2.5 billion and 3.0 billion pounds ($3.40 billion-$4.08 billion), Sky News reports, citing unnamed sources.

-- The U.K. bank is in advanced talks to buy the group from its private equity owners after rival bidder Barclays backed out, Sky News reports. The announcement could come early this week, it says.

-- NatWest and Barclays declined to comment to Sky News.
