Himax Technologies Q4 Earnings, Revenue Fall; Q1 Guidance Set -- Shares Down Pre-Bell

Himax Technologies (HIMX) reported Q4 earnings Thursday of $0.036 per diluted American depositary share, down from $0.140 a year earlier.

Two analysts polled by FactSet expected $0.04.

Revenue for the quarter ended Dec. 31 was $203.1 million, compared with $237.2 million a year earlier.

A single analyst surveyed by FactSet expected $199.2 million.

For Q1, the company expects earnings of $0.02 to $0.04 per diluted ADS. Two analysts polled by FactSet expect $0.06.

Himax said it expects net revenue for the quarter to decline by 2% to 6% sequentially.

The company's shares were down 3% in recent premarket activity.
