Ford Motor (F) intends to launch five new models priced under $40,000 by the end of the decade as the average US vehicle price climbs above $50,000, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing Chief Financial Officer Sherry House at a Wolfe Research conference.
The rollout will commence with an electric pickup truck in 2027 and continue with a mix of gasoline-powered and battery-electric vehicles, the report said.
Ford did not immediately respond to a request for comment by MT Newswires.
