0823 ET - Medicaid continues to be a thorn in the side of Elevance Health. In its 4Q, the health insurance company saw membership attrition in its Medicaid business, which led to Medical membership declining by about 500,000, or 1%, to 45.2 million as of the end of the year. Elevance says it expects enrollment to fall in 2026, with the Medicaid segment leading the decline with 7.65 million to 7.85 million enrollments, down from 8.5 million in 2025. Elevance is off 6% premarket. (adriano.marchese@wsj.com)
