HSBC's (HSBC) deal to take Hong Kong's Hang Seng Bank private was approved Friday by the UK's High Court, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The acquisition is expected to become binding and effective on Monday, the filing said.
Hang Seng Bank's application to be withdrawn from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange has also been approved, effective Jan. 27, the filing said.
