Polaris (PII) plans to shut down its Osceola, Wisconsin, manufacturing facility and lay off about 200 workers following the sale of its Indian Motorcycle business, The Minnesota Star Tribune reported Thursday, citing a company spokesperson.
Polaris will begin winding down Osceola operations this summer while offering outplacement and relocation support to affected workers, according to the report.
The company said in October it will sell a majority stake in Indian Motorcycle to private equity firm Carolwood, with the deal expected to close within Q1.
Polaris didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
