Microsoft (MSFT) is closing its physical library and has been canceling news subscriptions as part of a shift toward what it calls an "AI-powered learning experience," The Verge reported Thursday.
The transition began in November, with Microsoft notifying news and reports services, including Strategic News Service, that it will not renew contracts, the report said. Strategic News Service has provided global reports to Microsoft for over 20 years, according to The Verge.
In an internal FAQ, Microsoft informed its employees staff the physical library at its Redmond, Washington, campus and various digital publications are being replaced by the "Skilling Hub," a platform designed to offer a "connected learning experience," the report.
Microsoft and Strategic News Service didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
