Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google said its Gemini AI assistant can now be personalized to connect data across services such as Gmail, Search, Photos, and YouTube.

Google's opt-in Personal Intelligence feature allows Gemini to automatically use selected apps, Josh Woodward, vice president of Google Labs, Gemini, and AI Studio, aid Wednesday in a blog post.

Personal Intelligence is rolling out in the U.S. as a beta for personal accounts belonging to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers. Users can choose which services Gemini may access, a design intended to address privacy concerns, according to the post.

The feature will expand globally over time and will eventually be available in Gemini's free tier, the post said.
