Stocks to Watch Tuesday: JPMorgan, Delta, L3Harris -- WSJ

JPMorgan Chase $(JPM)$: The Wall Street bastion posted a 7% drop in quarterly profit, while revenue missed forecasts. Investment-banking fees fell. JPMorgan took an extra $2.2 billion charge for potential futures losses related to buying Apple $(AAPL)$'s credit-card program. The bank's stock fell 1%.

Bank of New York Mellon $(BK)$: The bank's quarterly profit and revenue topped expectations, although revenue fell in its investment and wealth-management business.

L3Harris $(LHX)$: The defense contractor plans to spin off its missile business, backed by a $1 billion investment from the Defense Department. Shares rose 3%.

Delta Air Lines $(DAL)$: The U.S.'s largest carrier said the government shutdown knocked $200 million off its pretax profit last quarter. Delta said it had ordered 30 Boeing $(BA)$ 787 Dreamliners with an option to buy 30 more.

American Airlines $(AAL)$: Shares of the carrier, and other U.S. airlines, fell after Delta's earnings.

Orsted (DK:ORSTED): A U.S. judge ruled that work could resume at the renewable-energy developer's Revolution Wind project off Rhode Island. Shares traded about 5% higher in Denmark.

TSMC (TW:2330, TSM): The largest advanced AI chip fabricator plans a significant expansion in Arizona as part of a potential U.S.-Taiwan trade agreement, The Wall Street Journal reported. Shares gained 1.2% in Taipei.

AbbVie $(ABBV)$: The pharmaceutical company agreed to invest $100 billion in U.S. operations and lower Medicaid prices in exchange for tariff and pricing exemptions.

Revvity $(RVTY)$: Shares rose almost 10% after the health-sciences company hiked its annual earnings guidance.
