New Era Energy & Digital (NUAI) late Monday denied allegations made in a recent lawsuit by New Mexico's state attorney general against the company and its chief executive regarding an alleged "fraudulent oil well scheme."

Shares were down over 17%, with trading volume of more than 13.1 million against a daily average of over 16.1 million shares.

OceanFirst Financial (OCFC) and Flushing Financial (FFIC) said late Monday that they have agreed to merge in an all-stock deal worth about $579 million.

OceanFirst shares were down over 5%, with trading volume of over 1.8 million shares against a daily average of about 397,000. Flushing shares were more than 8% lower.
