Semler Scientific is cutting roughly 37% of its workforce as part of a strategic realignment.

The healthcare technology company said Friday that the layoffs will result in about $1.2 million of severance costs, which are expected to be paid through January. They will save the company between $700,000 and $1.1 million in operating expenses each quarter starting in January.

Semler Scientific did not say how many employees would be impacted. The company had 79 full-time employees as of the end of 2024, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company said it is also looking to curtail other operating expenses.
